Doing my boring life stuff by bike while on the other side of the city the same infrastructure is being taken away. Today this city moves backwards. but the kids still need to go to the dentist.

Both can be true.

@ms-sally.bsky.socialOct 14, 2026, 5:44 PM

100%. This is especially true in rural BC. The NDP has done next to nothing, or perhaps nothing, to address the urban-rural divide in this province.

2024 election map showing how poorly the NDP did in rural areas, especially in the BC interior, where the overwhelming majority of the land mass is blue.

A friend needed an ambulance in Edmonton recently and it didn't come. We need a proper reckoning about what's actually broken, who we're failing, and who is doing the breaking.

Cindy Blackstock is a national treasure. Her life's work is devoted to the wellbeing of children, and to achieving better outcomes for the most vulnerable. I would like my taxes to go to this kind of work.

Okay, I'll retract the fact statement. It's a metaphorical hill and the metaphor is combat, so camo would actually be better. For perspective, a woman choosing to wear a niqab is not victim blaming, just making a choice. It sounds like you've been through some horrible experiences.

@ms-sally.bsky.socialOct 14, 2026, 3:25 PM

I mean, you're less likely to die on that hill because you're wearing a high vis vest. (This is a joke) (But also fact)

I'm a Green voter in rural BC. Yah, that's a real problem in ridings like mine: the Conservatives might win if I vote Green. šŸ˜‚ The Green party actually makes sense for a lot of rural BC voters.

A map of the 2024 general election results shows how the Conservative party dominated in most of rural BC, as well as winning a number of ridings in the lower mainland.

I will NEVER be bullied/guilted into voting against something again. Made that mistake with Carney. I’m voting GREEN because of their policies - voting for the rest is the equivalent of voting for the same thing and expecting a different result AND voting to continue support of the Epstein class.

🤣 Don't it always seem to go...

Oh and as someone wrote on Instagram, to keep Cons out the strategic vote in Saanich North & the Islands is for Emily Lowan of BC Greens, not NDP. #bcpoli

To any NDP-leaning voters in Saanich North Islands riding: Emily is your ONLY strategic option to stop the Cons. A vote for BCNDP in that riding is a vote for BC Cons! Only Emily has the momentum, resources, ground game and support to keep that seat progressive! And her voice is critical to keep the dial of discourse and policymaking shifting leftwards, not rightwards! In SNI, vote tactically, vote Green, vote Emily! šŸ’š

Greens and CentreBC are likely to win seats. But also, that approach does a disservice to democracy. Media should not be determining who is likely to form government or win seats. That is also a self-fulfilling prophecy - coverage provides a better opportunity to be elected.

Women's health matters. We need to curtail and then ban LNG-methane production because it's a dirty dirty dirty greenhouse gas. Stopping LNG-methane production imminently may be the one way we can address excessive warming before it's too late.

@ms-sally.bsky.socialOct 13, 2026, 8:10 PM

In Kitimat, women are afraid to have babies because of methane gas, flaring and black smoke pollution, not to mention all the people in BC who have decided not to have children at all because of the future horrors that will ensure due to governments not acting on climate change.

Obviously, we're picking the bear.

Dear šŸ‡ØšŸ‡¦ Liberals, Dear leader is meeting with the worst people in the world, to make deals with the worst people in the world. People who have shown time and time again absolute disregard for workers, the environment, human rights. Is this what you voted for?

We should never allow working people to be pitted against one another. Our strength comes from standing together against the people making us poorer, and fighting for decent wages, affordable homes and public services that guarantee everyone a decent life.
