I truly get the sentiment for pretty much all software @ large, but I am vehemently against this trend of "it's slop, it can't be helped" when it comes to talking about OS design right now. It's killing people's ability to problem solve - like, that particular 25H2 fix was EASY but everyone has hit-

Sure, but you can stop that like most things in Edge with one registry flip versus potentially annihilating WebView or having to rearm it every major patch.

(Okay that’s part wrong now that I think of it, but still fairly close - it started with Win98 proper, but Win95 had the ability to shell integrate in later versions.)

The browser has been built into the OS workflow since Windows 95, why the fuck is everyone freaking out now? You can uninstall Copilot w/o doing that shit

You really, truly do not want to fuck with uninstalling Edge on W11. There is next to no point, and most auto-uninstallers still fuck with WebView, which will most likely break a LOT. I don’t know why is this is a resurgent trend but it’s a very bad idea for almost no benefit.
