Incredibly easy to work with.
I co-host “Autocratic Despair: The Podcast”.
Many who matter call it “One of the top 5 or 6 podcasts that doesn’t have ads or a donation link”.

That Eli Lily commercial about Medicare covering obesity drugs is the darkest goddamn spot I’ve ever seen. I’m a little shaken up by it, honestly.
McRaven as Harris’ VP would have mattered, I think. I suppose we’ll never know, but the masculinity attacks on Walz would have been difficult to apply to McRaven.
Must’ve had quite the resume.
I’ve run into Palantir USA’s Head of Defense at my gym recently. Truly weird experience being in proximity to that sort of evil.

Sat next to Nader on an airplane once. Asked him about meeting John Lennon & Yoko during the week they’d guest hosted on Mike Douglas in the 1970’s - a ridiculous pull for a 22 year-old in the pre-YouTube era. He had no recollection of it ever happening. None at all.
Dr. Craig & I have built something pretty special with “Autocratic Despair: The Podcast”. The analysis, the levity, the chemistry between the two of us.
Help us promote it, will you?

Greg Levy is very lucky, huh? Surely there is nothing more at play here than Republicans seeing an opportunity to siphon Brown voters away & going for it.
Oswald Mosley was a character involved with late-period Tommy Shelby in Peaky Blinders. Hadn’t heard of him prior to the show.
I’m forever 5 steps behind on it, but all the knowledge I’ve gotten about neuro targeting has been as a result of following this feed. Turned me on to Chase Hughes. Worth following.
We’ve got David Greene, Senior Counsel for the EFF, for “Autocratic despair: The Podcast” this week. It’ll be the first opportunity that Dr. Craig & I have had to bring on a guest with one another. If you’ve got questions for Greene, let me know. He is not an uptight individual.
Certainly not the kind of thing you shake off in a couple of days.
The levels of analysis on the Byron Donalds ‘Grandparents’ Rights’ video more than make up for it, though. Still amazed at that discussion
“You never hear Jared Yates Sexton talkin’ boners on ‘The Muckrake’”
- We did talk serious issues on “Autocratic Despair:The Podcast” this week, but also Dr. Craig indulged me an extended riff about boners. Got a little out-of-pocket, if you will.
You haven’t heard? People with education and training are no longer relevant. The only experts are Aspies who pick a topic and harp on it for years on social media until people start paying attention.
Best goddamn analyst on the topic of neuro targeting on all of Twitter is posting here, now. Follow this user & try to keep up.
Alright, man. Now we’re getting somewhere.
I’d have bought a Muckrake membership regardless of the quality of the show as he was nice enough to guest on our show and that is the standard ‘cool guy’ move, so it over delivers in terms of expectation. What he did this week alone was out of this world. 5 levels deep.
The discovery & analysis of the Byron Donalds “Grandparents’ Rights” lady absolutely losing her shit while asking Donalds a question on the Muckrake Weekender feed by @jysexton.bsky.social has value enough to merit joining the Patreon for a year
I’d like to see it further deconstructed, actually
We both think the stakes are too high to have sponsors. It’d be less credible if there was any attempt to generate revenue at all. So do us a solid and let your network know? Do it a few times. Make it a habit. Help us reach more people.
Put a link in your group chat. Send a return text with a link to all the unsolicited political texts you’ll be getting in the next few weeks. Say “You should check this show out”. We’re trying to help & we are not selling anything. There are no commercials. No Patreon. No revenue at all.
Our show is a good way to dip your toes into the water if you want to learn. Perfect if you care, but have dissociated in order to preserve their sanity. Our show is something for a cool uncle to send to a nephew or niece. If you can appreciate that, would you help your network discover it?
