@justinmikulka.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialLooks like solar and batteries are working to replace diesel around the world and it's a very good thing. "In June, Nova Sociedade installed solar panels to power water pumps that fill storage tanks and provide clean water to all 36 families in the village." A good read.

@alicethenobody.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialHappy birthday Ichimonji Hayato! The most important Kamen Rider in the franchise besides Hongo. He saved the show from cancellation, introduced the henshin pose, and other modern tropes. He also brought a hopeful light to a show that was initially bleak with his positive personality. #KamenRider
@penamerica.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialFor #BannedBooksWeek, author Patricia McCormick — whose SOLD was the most-banned book of the 2025-26 school year — visited our office to talk to us about the consequences of repealing young readers’ access to stories about sexual violence.
@thereheil-deal.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialA little piece of history here in Philly where the story takes place and is inspired by! Automats were central to much of the city’s postwar society up through the 90s!

@oliveoilcorp.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialeveryone's going to have to stop leaning on platforms like this to 'find their audience' because the audience is fake and also it doesn't actually belong to you. it belongs to the platform and it will remove you from the equation as soon as they can.
@jametc.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialit's gonna get hacked in like 3 days and everyone's verification materials that discord insists they don't keep is gonna get leaked. I fear that even if we had alternatives, nobody would move. Maybe if it screws enough people, maybe? everyone's so baked into this service though

panicking does nothing. if you want to make a diference, contact your senators and demand they vote no on KOSA, as an example of one such bill
@aspatriarca.bsky.socialReposted by @rippersspot.bsky.socialThis is so disappointing. I'm part of a group on my campus dedicated to alternative grading, and we were excited to see institutional support for something that genuinely increases student engagement and learning.
