I finally made it to Minnesota, my 46th state. I’m visiting what I think of as “the other MHS” and its history center.

I’m actually more excited for the WNBA playoffs than I am for the MLB playoffs this year.

With this prep in place, and the fact that our electricity lines are underground, we definitely won’t lose power, but it’s good to prepare just in case.

Tim took today off and has readied us for the weekend’s Nor’easter. Our lantern has working batteries, and the batteries for our various electronics are charged and ready to go. He also checked our condo building’s generator so our hallways will have lights should we lose power.

I love this strategy and it’s one I’m so glad to have learned early on.

Attending the AASLH-NCPH Conference keynote with Ned Blackhawk. Conference began with a welcome from the Narragansett Tribe. Refreshing to see a deliberate and meaningful acknowledgment of Native lands and history.

Thank goodness I have Saturday to finish because tomorrow night I am going to see the Red Sox.

Whelp, I still haven’t created my slide deck for my big lecture at Penn State on Monday, but I did manage to cut the lecture I wrote in half because instead of 60 minutes, I have 30 minutes…to tell the story of 3 vital parts of the Revolution.
