There have been lots of proposals for a train through the years. It would be a great thing to have (though obviously not a tomorrow thing).

DTW is a fantastic airport when you're inside, but getting there and getting out without paying for an Uber/Lyft/Taxi is ridiculous.

I have to consistently add 45 minutes to get to my car after getting off the plane, and I have to stand in a sardine-packed shuttle bus to boot.

If Detroit Metro Airport isn't going to have convenient public transit access, then it needs to actually have parking available at the McNamara Terminal. And until it does, it needs to run the shuttle to the Blue deck parking a hell of a lot more frequently.

The fallacy here is that drawing attention to this atrocity is somehow a distraction from the midterm elections. Just the opposite is true. The visceral public outrage contributes to an even more caustic midterm electoral environment for Republicans. It will hurt them further.

"Trump has moved the ethical line" drives me crazy. It pretends there are no other actors with agency in 🇺🇸 politics or the media. You could have treated this as a nonstop five-alarm scandal & crisis for democracy. You didn't do that. You did for EMAIL & BIDEN OLD. Other choices were right there.
