My wife Cheryl and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community as we celebrate National Coming Out Day. I will always work to make sure every Minnesotan has the freedom to be who they are and love who they love. 🏳️🌈🌈
Proud to have earned an “A” grade on Defend the Vote’s 2026 legislative scorecard! I’ll always support legislation to crack down on corruption, protect Minnesotans’ access to the ballot box and clean up Washington.
Keeping Minnesotans safe means investing in coordinated counterterrorism and violent crime prevention efforts, and I will continue working to give law enforcement the resources they need to do just that.
I am grateful to law enforcement for stopping the planned terror attack at the Mall of America. Their quick work and vigilance saved countless lives.
Today marks three years since Hamas targeted Israeli civilians in the horrific October 7th attacks. As we remember the more than 1,200 lives lost and the countless lives changed forever that day, we must commit to fighting antisemitism and hatred and continue working toward peace in the Middle East.
Together, we’ll keep working toward a future where every Minnesotan can be who they are and love who they love. 🌈🩷
October is LGBTQ+ history month, a chance for us to celebrate the brave folks who have stood up and fought for equal rights, protections and acceptance for our community. We’ve come a long way in this fight, but there’s still more work to do.
Good luck to everyone running the Twin Cities Marathon today! Cheryl and I hope you have a safe, healthy and fun day as you enjoy the most beautiful urban marathon in America. I’ll be cheering you all on. 🏃♀️
Cheryl and I are keeping the students, teachers and families impacted by last night’s shooting in Eden Prairie in our prayers today. No homecoming celebration should end with gun violence. We’ve got to do better for our kids and pass common sense gun control in this country.
Another disappointing jobs report. Unemployment ticked up to 4.2%, job growth slowed (again) and Minnesotans are feeling it. President Trump promised a Golden Age — yet opportunities are dwindling, prices are rising and folks can’t keep up. Minnesotans deserve better.
It’s that time of year! Every fall, I visit Mr. Snobeck’s political science class at Eagan High School to answer questions about our government and share my experience as an elected official. I had a great time today hearing from and speaking to some of Eagan’s best and brightest.
It was an honor to receive the Mayor’s Award from Newport Mayor Laurie Elliott and the Newport City Council today. Serving Minnesota’s Second District is a true honor, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Mayor Elliott’s partnership over the years. Thank you, Mayor Elliott!
Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Hispanic Minnesotans. This month and always, we celebrate the diversity and rich cultures that make our state stronger!
Cheryl and I got to visit the top of the Capitol Dome in Washington! It was a hike – literally 300 stairs – but I’d say the view was worth it.
P.S. Can’t wait to watch you take down the Liberty tonight!
I’m thrilled that the Lynx’s own Cheryl Reeve was named WNBA Coach of the Year (again!) and Olivia Miles was voted WNBA Rookie of the Year! Not only have these two had a record-breaking season – they also led the Lynx to the top seed in the playoffs. Cheryl and Olivia, we couldn’t be prouder of you.
I think we could all use a little Dakota pick-me-up right about now, or should I say... Da-Cow-Ta! What do you think of Dakota’s Halloween costume? My wife Cheryl has always wanted a Highland Cow. Dakota is not very amused.
Happy National Public Lands Day! From neighborhood playgrounds to national parks, our public lands are essential to our communities. Today, let’s commit to protecting these sacred outdoor spaces for generations of Minnesotans to come.🌲⛰️🛶🏕️
Minnesotans want a life they can afford – not an algae-green Reflecting Pool and a ballroom built for billionaires.
- 600+ million school lunches - 12 million Americans’ electric bills for one month - A full year of medical bills for 88,000 veterans - 27,000+ new firefighters or schoolteachers - 35+ million tanks of gas for a typical sedan
