I was proud to begin this day of remembrance alongside FDNY Commissioner Bonsignore by laying a wreath at the foot of the Firemen’s Memorial. For more than a century, this monument has honored the heroes who risk their lives to keep us safe.

SNAP kids are just as deserving of a birthday cake, a soda, & a little childhood joy as any other kid. Kids shouldn’t have to understand their family’s financial situation before being allowed to be excited about cake. Somehow we’ve reached where that apparently requires a congressional hearing.
