I tripped, ordered a book (it was wild, my card was already out and everything) and now I have my very own copy of Wickhills by Premee Mohamed. It only moves when I'm not in the room. A little annoying but at least it doesn't chew any books other like some naughty kitties I could name.

If you're mad about the cancellation of Scavengers Reign, you should immediately go to your book shop/library of choice and read What We Are Seeking by Cameron Reed, which is, "What if Le Guin wrote season two of Scavengers Reign?"

Luckily the books I have of his used are from the early 1990s so once I do read them it'll at least be the early work.

What I really want from Bluesky these days: "show full thread from start" with any replies to posts inside the thread stripped out.

I was trying to read ALL the space opera, and it sucks because I've collected a few of his books used already. I want authors to stay away from this technology! But also good to know re: politics.
