I don't disagree with any criticism here particularly but I think that taking aim at Wikipedia, one of the great achievements of humanity, in this internet context, is reckless and dumb
In which I discuss the core text for understanding Starmerism, this @guy-normal.bsky.social post:
sorry can't come in tomorrow. yeah i need to nurse my pustule
my long standing view is that the only utility of actually existing political cartoons is so future history students can explain contemporary prejudices in exams. this would admittedly be good for that but is on every other level reprehensible
just can’t be doing that can you
i hear your boyfriend is coming to visit
Handy poll and thread this. Bringing this out because there has been a lot of misplaced out-of-town criticism of a) the Labour candidate and b) the Green campaign’s choice to go for a “don’t worry! It won’t hurt Andy!” campaign message for much of the campaign.

i've often thought, why do we have political cartoons, their only utility is future exam papers – but what a rich text this will be for said future exam !
I wrote on a similar topic a year ago: some things feel different now but I think the point that in many voters' heads there is already a progressive alliance stands.
Even if there's lots of late that even many Greens, correctly imo, wish to separate themselves from – I think our polling on Holborn is illustrative in this regard.
Ultimately I'm fairly bloc politics pilled, and therefore fairly bloc efficiency pilled. Labour will only hurt themselves drawing a drastic line between their politics and those of the Greens
Unsurprisingly, I think Christabel is right! I think this is a point that Labour urgently needs to grasp. I think and lot of people in the Burnhamverse do get this, but it's far from universal.
Some excellent analysis from @morganj0nes.bsky.social shows that Labour-Green considerers voted Labour in order to give the new administration "a chance", i.e. the government is on probation. www.newstatesman.com/politics/pol...
Thoughts on Holborn & St P: Not ideal Green territory. May's locals were a Labour-Green toss-up here, so with Labour's position improving under Burnham, a fairly comfortable hold was to be expected. But it means that in the places where the Greens actually beat Labour in May, they remain a threat.
Good polling by Persuasion UK/Convergent on Holborn www.newstatesman.com/politics/pol...
This is really interesting, and basically vindicates the v different approach Labour took towards the Greens in Holborn & St Pancras vs Gorton & Denton.
