@nataliezed.bsky.social PinnedAt last, the day has come.
Today is VILLAIN release day! It barely seems real, and I'm thrilled and relieved and so happy this weird, difficult, joyous rejection of a redemption arc exists in the world.

@nataliezed.bsky.socialI had never thought about this before this moment, but most hookah coals are made with coconut shells
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI have 100% worn my earplugs at the movies
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI cannot imagine caring about this???
@nataliezed.bsky.socialThis scene is literally perfect
@nataliezed.bsky.socialSelf-care also means wearing earplugs at concerts (and frankly anything loud).
@nataliezed.bsky.socialOf all the stupid shit I did that permanently injured me in my teens and 20s, damaging my hearing wasn't one of them. I wore earplugs my entire music journalism career and it is one of the kindest things I ever did for myself.
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI had an absolute BLAST being a part of the first TriCon earlier this year; I am so glad I got to launch VILLAIN as a part of it. I'm thrilled they'll be back and can't wait to attend!
@nataliezed.bsky.socialThe bad AI husbandry going on in so many of these breaches makes me want to tear my hair out
@nataliezed.bsky.socialOh thank you! I'll pass it on
@nataliezed.bsky.socialoh this is GREAT ha ha
@nataliezed.bsky.socialTalking to Mattea was a HOOT :D
@nataliezed.bsky.socialIf you prefer the Q&A version, here it is. "Perhaps I should talk to a therapist at some point about how utterly devastating positive attention can be. But we'll put that aside for just one moment." www.cbc.ca/books/booken...
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI had the great pleasure of being interviewed by @mattearoach.bsky.social on CBC Bookends about VILLAIN, some of the weirder work experiences I've had, and supervillainy as a career. www.cbc.ca/listen/live-...
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI've never named the city, so it can kind of be wherever you want it to be
@nataliezed.bsky.socialThis is THRILLING :3
@nataliezed.bsky.socialThis is so exciting
@nataliezed.bsky.socialI'm at Word on the Street: Lethbridge today, presenting on Villain and disaster math.
@nataliezed.bsky.socialOh wow that is quite a compliment :D
@nataliezed.bsky.socialThen, on September 19th, I'll be a guest at Word on the Street: Lethbridge! They're letting me give a short presentation of superheroes and disaster math, which is going to be a hoot.
