Apparently not available any more now. Sorry, I don't know whether it will again, at some point (I've asked @nebriefing.bsky.social elsewhere)
Ah, sorry. It was still available when I checked some time after the end of the live session. Maybe they're doing some editing and it will get posted again?
Perhaps @nebriefing.bsky.social can tell us?
How old might it be? How long do they live?

And the UK is already way behind France's rate of adoption! 🙄
@lucysiegle.bsky.social:
"I've become deeply suspicious of communications doctrines. Do this. Don't do that. Only tell positive stories. Never use fear. Many of these prescriptions are presented as established wisdom, often on the basis of research that doesn't justify such universal conclusions"

Hopefully not directly relevant to the UK government's decision, but symptomatic of pressures slowing down heat pump adoption (and other steps towards Net Zero) in key countries:

To those who say "heat pumps are for the middle classes": the whole damn point of subsidising them and rolling out the technology is to ensure that heat pumps are for everyone, reducing our bills, reducing indoor and outdoor pollution, reducing our emissions, while making our homes more habitable.
One far better way to raise money than stopping heat pump subsidies is to "put fuel tax on the 1,000 private jets who take off from the UK each year": bsky.app/profile/clim...

I need to check current rules but when I last looked Planning allowed in principle only one unit per block of flats, which means that freeholders and management companies were not keen to make an exception for one flat (besides all the other rules/hurdles, incl. local Planning positions on this).

I am a landlady. I'm v. keen to install air2air heat pumps in 2 small all-electric London flats I own, for which the tech would be perfect. My tenants enjoy low rent, they'd be happier still on low bills! I don't mind paying without subsidies. But Planning laws & management companies won't let me.
New report: "Support for climate action & net zero policies are strongly linked to trust in government, and confidence in government’s ability to address the issue. This requires clear, sustained leadership." Instead of slashing heat pump subsidies, slash the perverse ones for fossil fuels & meat
