That’s usually how I see them too! I’m sure they sorted themselves out and found something else to shelter under if needed

I basically only see them when I’m moving something in my yard, like a paving stone or in this case a piece of cardboard that was blocking weeds. I always feel bad when I disturb them

There are times when a post is aimed at a different audience from me and I don’t understand what’s happening. Like not knowing who a pictured celebrity is. In that case the alt text is giving additional info that’s very useful but I wouldn’t say it was hidden.

I see what you’re saying but I think the way the image is described automatically tells the reader about the authorial intent. Like what details the writer emphasizes vs leaves out. Two people could post the same image in different contexts and their alt text could be different.
