Yeah! Used a SQUARE brush, kinda more artsy fartsy that way.

the oddly shaped brush forces me to work in generalities. If I had a round brush my programmed instincts would take over and I might start rendering details too early but with the square I feel more inclined to actually "block things in" like you're SUPPOSED to do when trying to learn rendering.

thanks bruddah, I used a SQUARE brush for most of it. Whoaaaaaa tres artistique! But also I think it helped break away from my round brush stylistic tendencies.

I've been putting my personal philosophy to the test, lately. This ancient arcane technique of, "enjoying stuff" is really effective at keeping me focused. Every consecutive day I can maintain attention gives me a tiiiiny bit more detail that I can withstand expending energy on.
