LIve now

For sure. But it was his best chance tonight. Although he hit a ball hard to CF earlier

Travis Bazzana has had a good night hitting the ball but just one hit to show for it. .730 xBA there, .550 on his flyout in the 6th. 401 feet to RF is a homer. Bazzana has 2 of the 3 hardest hit balls today so far. Chase has the 2nd on that double. But outside of that, nothing

Brutal at bat by Jo Adell in the 7th. Very strong advantage setup for him against a LHP and runners in scoring position. That is where he excels but just a rough at bat.

On what planet does it make sense to swing at the first pitch of an at bat after a 6 pitch walk to a reliever that just entered the game?

What is wrong with Carlos Torres?

Guardians are 1 play at 3B away from keeping this tied 0-0. Messick got Diaz, Caminero and Mesa Jr. a third time. You can probably start him for the sixth inning. You at least protect your bullpen at the very worst today. Give the big arms two days off and avoid overexposure

Well now this looms even bigger. Even though he was out at second, he would have been out #1. Then Mesa is out at first. And now you have an error. And now of course Hicks has 2 hits off Messick. Figures.

The 2-2 vs Caminero should have been challenged. Would have been strike 3.

And of course Hicks and Walls reach base. So good thing he did pick off Williamson, but not an ideal top 3 with the top of the order now.

Big pickoff by Parker Messick. Now he gets Liam Hicks (weak platoon side), Taylor Walls, and then back to Yandy Diaz next inning for the second time. Instead of 9-1-2 with Caminero looming. And keeps the pitch count down.

Guardians lineup vs RHP Freddy Peralta. Austin Hedges has caught all of Parker Messick's games this year. Not changing that tonight. Petey Halpin still in CF. Jo Adell gets a start in RF and Chase DeLauter gets a slight rest at DH. I would expect with a lead, the OF will shift to Martinez RF late.

Mike Ross without ethics and morals

Cant believe the Rays didnt make Cade Smith work. 6 pitches is like a 1/2 day off for him. A win for them would have been making him work.

You have been consistent all year long.
