I like to think I did my bit for this by strongly suggesting that my autism assessors read it. Also you should read it. Yeah, you. AND the audiobook version is splendid if you cannot be arsed to read a book and want to have a chuckle while you are eg washing the dishes or driving to Alton Towers.
A little reminder on #worldmentalhealthday that opening up about mental health struggles isn't always easy for anyone, but might be even harder for some.
If I can't fidget with *something* I will usually go insane. Could be a reasonable adjustment for them. Sorry to be boring and sincere about it.
I had a fess published a few years ago about how I couldn't connect with my lifelong pals cos all they wanted to do was booze and take coke. I told them how I felt, turned out they thought the same and now we climb Munro's on Sundays. Lads, talk to your pals.
Gods bless Viz. National treasure.
Today I went to karate, wallowed in the gym spa, and braved Big Tescos so I can cook a proper roast beef Sunday dinner tomorrow. I also bought some condensed milk and had a proper cup of spiced milk chai when I got in. We are not falling in to the pit this year. 2026 will not break me.

Early stroll. In my mind’s eye I see the Romans who walked round here. A passing plane’s distant spark. I sneeze; the cockerel replies. The hill dreams of being a mountain. That well-stocked library of fallen leaves.
DON'T YOU START

I have been very haunted these last few months; today I went to a theme park, and went on some rides, and had a hot chocolate, and exorcised some demons
Abandon. Abandon
Oh god you really think I would have learned by now to actually hold on and brace myself on a rollercoaster rather than flinging my arms in the air with wild abamdon like Kermit introducing Dolly Parton. Ow. Oh god my back
Fuck *me* what a ride. That first drop is breathtaking.
Just said 'Oh, fuck off' to myself, out loud, in the queue for Hyperia, after getting a particularly egregious cryptic crossword clue; am parody of self
'Rush' (basically a giant hydraulic swing) is probably, weirdly, the only ride that actually scares me
