well well well if it isn't our old friend the 5am panic attack
Soft agree because I'm about to demand a claimant take me to court and I feel like this would make them ~2% more likely to
(If your point is more just like, we shouldn't have to tell people bad things we've done if we feel really really really guilty about it, I don't think that makes sense)
Why are you pretending you're not getting answers? Yes, if I raped someone, I'd expect to have to tell colleagues were I in Jacob's position. Do you keep saying "worst thing you've ever done" because you want a more sympathetic answer? Ignoring that you literally don't know if he had done worse.
people just chat complete shit when they try to define "woke 1". "oh its actually referring to when corpos tried to coopt our movements" oh yes those woke 1 people I bet they never had anything to say about that thank god you're here with your new cool movement every moderate democrat agrees with
because I mentioned the "woke 1" thing in the last video I'm getting comments now explaining that "woke 1" actually refers to the era where social justice people were perceived as too nice and inoffensive and unfortunately that era Never Fucking Happened
If I raped someone, yes I think I would have to tell the people who rest their career on my reputation. This is known in many fields as a "background check"
Jacob Geller
yeah idk what breadtube was but it seems like it fucking sucked
just to answer for myself, I obviously don't believe we could or should "stop Jacob Geller Making Art" as a therapeutic practice, I just don't see a future where we can avoid old colleagues and fans ostracising him due to lack of trust and that seems like the consequence being presented here
aside from anything else, we have no actual non-parasocial reason to believe the youtuber with millions of subs is now of no concern to anyone, and in lieu of that the social consequence (suspicion, loss of some support) is unavoidable imo
This is not about "minimum amounts of suffering" for me to be clear. I think most responses have been personal (justified) disgust at a reprehensible action, and an also justified skepticism of the "rehabilitation" of a relative stranger who has already been deceptive
is this a sincere point about how this incident came out that (rightly) should've been considered, or an attempt to distract from the actual incident people are upset about?
any suggestions that rehabiliation = 10 years of feminist video essays on youtube should ask if they'd feel the same about CSA. in the back of your head you're still thinking "well I guess SA can be one of those hapless tragic accident crimes you can whoopsie away from" ie rape culture
I don't think it's a large crossover, but it's been a shock to discover "I know but I'll ignore it because he made some touching content" is an actual contingent of his channel's viewers
I started a co op first time baldurs gate 3 playthrough with my spouse and currently they are a dwarf paladin competing with a cleric to see who is larping religion more and I am a dragon man competing with a goblin woman to see who can be more racist to the other

Crime City 1997 has suddenly been blocked globally. it wasn't making revenue prior to today, but it still hurts. quite proud of what I made and was planning an extended cut and a sequel. can't remember the last time I've bothered disputing something, but I'm trying this time. we'll see.
