Like Trump’s save act that would keep women who have been married or divorced from voting without paying $200 for a passport?? How is that not a poll tax against the poor? Rich white people have passports already they’ve had them all their lives. Poor people don’t travel out of the country often.

Democrats are constantly in court fighting against GOP shenanigans. It’s a constant constant battle which is why we say we need one vote for each person that would count equally BUT right now that is not the system that we have.

Texas, where Republicans are trying desperately to win with Paxton over Talerico, just closed 92 of 400 polling places — guess where ?? Poor blue neighborhoods where people don’t have reliable transportation or paid time off to vote and who would reliably vote blue. That’s where their $$ goes

Our polling locations are tied to our neighborhood. We don’t get to just go to any polling place that we want to so these poor Black people who all want to vote Dem, but are kept from voting cannot just drive 5 miles away to a rich white neighborhood and waltz in and out like the republicans do, no.

RED STATES also get a ton of extra Senators that way & can block us from passing fair laws. Dep-red Wyoming (570,000 souls) gets the same number (2) of senate votes as BLUE California (39 MILLION) or New York 20M)!?!?!?!? How does this fairly represent the will of the “people”? It doesn’t.

This is why Democrats do not like the EC. It benefits tiny red states, many who happened to split themselves up like Virginia & West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, North Dakota, South Dakota - just doubling up on their electoral votes despite small populations. Fundamentally unfair.

Each state has its own process. If a “red” state has no early voting, then by even temporarily closing some of the polls that Dems MUST USE on NOV. 3 — you can turn away vast amounts of BLUE voters & can easily steal that state’s electoral votes. You only need the “swing states”.

I’m not defending Trump voters. Or the never-voters. I’m defending the people who wanted to, but couldn’t vote against him. People who could not stand for eight hours in line at the polls. Democrat polling locations having no ballots, or being closed for hours over bomb threats. Etc.

I think we can all see the effect on our own social media. The exact # and the graph 📉 are unnecessary when we have 👁️ 👁️ and 🧠
