Californians' lives are not expendable in Donald Trump's unhinged, reckless war in Iran. This is yet another callous comment from the tyrant in the White House who dragged the American people into a war that we do not want.

Consider this your assignment for National Voter Registration Day.

Head to IWillVote.com and check your voter registration status. Then send this to the group chat and make sure they check theirs, too.

We all need to turn out this November and be too big to rig.

This means that the president must do his job to protect America’s interests by pursuing a treaty with countries like China to stop dangerous uses of AI, limit the speed of its development, and adopt global standards for testing.

We need cooperation at an international level as well. The United States must continue to lead the world in developing AI technology even as we seek to impose common-sense safety standards.

Congress must work at an urgent pace to pass new laws and establish a new federal entity to provide oversight and independent testing for this technology, to ensure accountability, and to protect our wellbeing.

Rather, it is about setting up sensible guardrails so that AI does not completely escape human control and endanger our safety and collective future. This moment demands the leadership of the United States government.

A slowdown is critical in order to ensure AI serves the public interest. Pacing AI development does not mean giving up on this technology’s potential to produce life-saving benefits in fields like medicine — some of which we are already seeing.

The frontier of artificial intelligence is advancing at an alarming speed. Over the weekend, industry leaders voiced support for an idea that the American people and many AI researchers in their own labs have been calling for: We must responsibly slow the pace of frontier AI development.

We will continue to tell their stories, honor their lives, and express our enduring gratitude for the heroism shown that day.

We remember the people who went to work that morning and never came home, and we remember the families who have carried their memories every day since.

@kamalaharris.comSep 11, 2026, 12:43 PM

25 years have passed since September 11, 2001. A generation has grown up in the years since, but our responsibility to remember has not changed.

This Labor Day, we celebrate the workers who keep our country moving and the unions that keep fighting for them.

Generations of union members fought for better pay, safer workplaces, and dignity on the job. Their victories have benefited all of us.

The labor movement has changed what it means to be a worker in America.

Political violence has no place in our nation. People must be safe to participate in our government and electoral process without fear of violence. The hate and division that dominate our political discourse must end.

I am horrified by yesterday's attack on Amy Acton in Ohio and grateful for the the actions of law enforcement and others who helped — including Dr. Acton herself, who stayed to help attend to the injured.

The right to vote is yet again under attack. Despite attempts to take away our power, we know that the real power is still with the people. And this November, we will use our power.

250,000 Americans marched on Washington 63 years ago today. They marched for jobs and for freedom. They marched because they were tired of being told to wait for equality. The March on Washington was a call to action for our nation. Today, we must answer the call once again.

This week’s Supreme Court decision is another reminder of what we are up against heading into November. They can put more obstacles in our way, but they cannot take away our power. Our answer is to show up, make our voices heard, and turn out in numbers that are too big to rig.
