-Exposure very low but highly concentrated
-Reducing exposure by ~70% for months had no measurable effects *even among frequent consumers*
This is what collaboration looks like. Trump is trying to denaturalize & deport political opponent, claiming irregularities with political asylum claim of her dead father from 31 years ago, and NYT legitimizes all of that by claiming only issues is that it violates norms in timing of investigation.
Ethnic cleansing with American characteristics
Trump pushes gutter racism in Ohio: "Look at what's happening in the once great state of MN. What a mess. Somalia ... all they do is kill each other in the streets. They cheat on everything. You have to vote for Michele Tafoya ... I thought I won MN 3 times." The crowd chants "De-port! De-port!"
Boomers have been preparing for this moment for decades
Fascinating account showing how a false claim can become widely accepted (and propagated by multiple independent sources) as a result of a common academic shortcut: citing a source you haven't actually read after seeing it cited by another source: journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10....
Just the president cheering on his crowd as they physically assault a woman
Hold 👏 them 👏 in 👏 contempt 👏
It's fair to worry about what Trump and his allies might try to do to attack the republic, because we know they'll try anything...but yeah their ability to actually do anything successfully is, as Arlen Specter would say, not proven.
Fascinating if real, but I suspect most people have no idea if they live within 2 km of a data center and this represents factors that are correlated with proximity
woo - congrats!!!
"For my friends, everything; for my enemies, the law"
Government actions to target specific racial or ethnic groups are a clear violation of the Equal Protection Clause---in the plain meaning of the text, in the original intent, any way you look at it. And the Trump administration openly confesses to racial motivations.
I do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...
“For my enemies, the law.”
Remember: ICE lied so often about people posing threats to them, to justify their violence in Chicago, that a Chicago federal judge wrote it was "difficult, if not impossible, to believe almost anything" ICE said. Do you know what it takes to get a Fed district judge to WRITE THAT in a ruling?
i really am not convinced the Telegraph isn’t a massive satirical art piece
