Congrats I guess. Enjoy feeding Elon’s CSAM generator your data. Instead of actually using your position of influence to help push more of a defection, you’re declaring victory for X and acting like it’s diagnosis rather than exactly the kind of thing that produces the reality.

It's genuinely remarkable (and extremely frustrating) how much better the left has gotten on housing production and zoning in virtually every big city other than San Francisco

is there anyone thinking/writing about the actual mechanics of disentangling the US government from elon musk?

"Bigotry aside," is always a ... pregnant way to begin a sentence, but this might be the aptest of all occasions for "bigotry aside,".

"The thinkers that Fukuyama so admired might have thought little or nothing of his own humanity. Those who come after him may use his theoretical oeuvre in similar ways: in ways that he did not fully intend, or would not fully endorse. That is, after all, human." Liberal Currents keeps delivering!

We’ve been talking about this for years. None of these far-right movements are organic.

No doubt this has occurred to other bystanders as well, but it would seem that a handful of billionaires dropping $150 million into a single state's election in an attempt to defeat a wealth-tax initiative just about makes the entire case for a wealth-tax initiative.

question for brooks: what if they are, literally, nazis?

"Jon Ossoff, my advice to him is, if you start calling your political opponents Nazis, maybe it's time to shut up. That's just not what we do here in this country." -- David Brooks, this evening. Remember, Brooks still gets very handsomely rewarded by the fossilized media for saying shit like this

A close look at Fukuyama’s view on human nature, and how liberalism is a technology to contain its destructive impulses. It also critiques blindspots in Fukuyama’s application of his thinking. One of the better essays on the man’s ideas.

Like, I think in 2028 a high quality candidate might have a real shot at unseating a 96 year old Chuck Grassley.

Need to check with @liberalcurrents.com if they'll post an episode of my sapphic sci-fi smut encomium to liberal democracy.

Gee, I wonder which way these highly motivated Latinos could be voting? More seriously, Democrats should take note of this and hang ICE around the neck of Republicans forever. The GOP is the party of ICE.
