Yep - Braverman and others are not making idle chat about how people should see themselves. It's a precursor to insisting on hierarchies of citizenship, eroding the rights of non-whites.

I like where she is going with this but I don’t think it quite works. Electrical outlets don’t say “I” and we still think they look like a little surprised guy. As long as you chat with it you’re going to imagine it’s a guy.

Truth is probably somewhere between the two... it might have some effect on some people's psychosis. Points the way to other rules you could introduce like refusing to answer any questions you'd only ask if you were addressing a person, using impersonal language...

I can see the logic... but all the encounters become so fake and loaded. Every game leads everyone to wonder what the counterfactual Man City would have done playing fair. Better to have them out of the equation and working their way up.

I don't think it would be justice to dish out one relegation. They would be back within a year and continue harvesting the higher revenues that were produced by the years of cheating. Not enough of a payback or deterrant.

Felt the same. I just did not give a shit about the quest to start a fine food restaurant. Lots of good ingredients [excuse the pun] great acting, direction, novel use of confined spaces... but a dead end story.
