Big press release next year "FUSION FRENZY NOW RUNS IN 32:9"
I have to imagine they'll waste a bunch of time staring at it, come up with a couple of ideas, and then realize that they're an actual business and not just some dudes slapping code on github who don't have to care about copyrights. In the end they'll have a new, worse way to up-res their old games.
The audio version is up and live, ad-free on Patreon and also wherever else audio podcasts live. The video version is trapped in a YouTube nightmare and will be live whenever YouTube finishes with it. www.patreon.com/jeffgerstman...
I think I've managed to cobble the various chunks of today's power outage podcast into a single video without breaking anything, but once that's done rendering I need to fix the audio. It's going to be a weird one this week, I guess.
Jeff lost power in the middle of the podcast earlier today. While he's back up and running, we will never forget when he was streaming from his phone and lower resolutions on desktop make his vertical video REALLY WIDE.
OK, let's finish strong, I guess? twitch.tv/jeffgerstmann
Richard B. Gray - LEVELORD 11/15/1957 - 10/12/2026 Just heard the news that an old friend of mine has passed on. Richard Gray - aka Levelord has departed the planet. I know he's dealt with cancer on and off for awhile now, a word that I cannot stand. Word comes from his wife Olga.
Power went out! It’s supposed to be out for a couple more hours so I’ll pick up the pieces and figure out what part of the podcast got recorded and what didn’t once it’s back.
The podcast is on! Let's talk about the future of Skate, the new Castlevania, GTA on PC and/or Switch 2, virtual reality, recompilations, and other such topics. twitch.tv/jeffgerstmann
Hello! Welcome to Vertical Slice, a new trade publication hellbent on producing fearless video game reporting that informs, inspires, and interrogates. We're fully independent. No ads. No corporate owner. No conflicting interests. But that means we need to ask an important question...
If it actually goes down like this then the people running TNA are somehow even dumber than I thought.
I think people acting like this is some kind of grand offense have never heard any kind of battle rap-style lyrics before. This is tame, it's whatever. TNA is probably loving that people bit on this, it's the most anyone has seen or heard from TNA in ages.
This is embarrassingly out of touch, dude.
Yeah, it's tough. They could buy ads and/or sponsored content/streams that are designed to promote upcoming sales/events or even individual games. Let publishers buy some of those slots from Valve or construct some kind of co-marketing situation around it.
No, the goal was to get a pair of headphones that could be good wireless headphones with decent noise canceling but could still function wired up, but the latency on that wired connected kills that for me. Never liked the feel of those Sennheisers at all, passed on them multiple times already.
Didn't they have that at one point? I remember seeing affiliate-style links to Steam pages and assumed those were paying out something. Anyway, I think what was left of the shrinking affiliate business died once Google started serving up AI summaries over links to the articles themselves.
I downloaded the client last week and it set off all kinds of virus scanners right away so I haven’t really been keeping up with it.
i got so many people calling this tweet fakeposting back when i made it but since this is bluesky and things have less reach on here im just going to post the photo
COMEDY is live! i believe this may be my greatest video ever, and i can't thank @cruuump.bsky.social and @smegorywilliford.bsky.social enough for everything they did to make this very wild vid possible.
go watch it now: youtu.be/qtmOEVSqKl4
