Oh FFS
It really is his most attractive quality.
Next level: a room that contains direct reports with whom you “need to have a talk.”
I have a bottle of Veuve Clicquot in the fridge for when It happens and I sure hope I’m not jinxing *that*.
Let’s encourage them to smoke as much as possible.
I was once flying to Lisbon from Madrid and my gate was 34 which was not between 33 and 35 as you might expect; instead it was through the duty-free shop across from them and down a hallway.
My gate is 17, between gates U and 🦑.
I like an airport where the numbering system is random. “I’m on level Q, but I need to go to 7 and then walk to the G concourse, which is between the 3B and P concourses”
And now I’ve received a reminder from Google Maps that I should leave for the airport—where I’m currently sitting—so I can make it for my boarding time, which it says is two hours later than it actually is, a time difference that is wrong both in the time zone I’m in and the one I’m traveling to.
Thanks—this is how I created it and it nevertheless adjusted the departure time now that I’m in a different time zone.

Luckily, I guess, my current time zone is an hour earlier so I’d get to the airport an hour sooner than I need to be there, rather than an hour later, but who wants a calendar that behaves this way?
And, unashamedly, my calendar states that the departure time is in my current time zone.
I extremely do not understand why, if I set up a calendar event for my return flight with the departure time in the time zone I’m currently in, my calendar has adjusted the departure time to what my current local time would be if I were back in my home time zone.
Car ads overestimate how much I want to rock climb and kayak and underestimate how much I want to buy ice cream at midnight.
This was a great read.
You win.
