If you're judging by longevity then no. But I don't see longevity as a necessary criteria for icon status. Maybe she isn't a legend yet, that might need longevity to fulfill, but I think icon status can be instantaneous and I think Raye fits into that category. Kate Bush is another

Actually, thinking about it, there was a book that took a role in changing my life. It was by no means the main or only factor but it did start a chain of events. It was Fell Farm Holiday by Marjorie Lloyd. Which I throughly recommend, whatever age you are

I started watching and then heard the voice which was like nails down a blackboard, then I rolled my eyes, wanted to leave without doing something so pointless and futile and wanted to inflict pain on the person who posted the video. So I stopped and am busy taking out my annoyance via these posts
