Of course. And I recognise the many privileges I enjoy that meant coming out was safe and relatively easy for me.

Coming out, as lesbian, gay, bi, trans or queer is a process - not a moment. The same is true for coming out as HIV+. But it is by coming out that we dispel fear and ignorance. Coming out is a tool we can use to challenge HIV stigma, just as we use it to challenge homophobia. Smash the closet.
