In Pennsylvania it is illegal for police or soldiers to be within 100 feet of a polling place unless they are in the process of voting or for specific limited exceptions, such as when the polling place is within 100 feet of the police station entrance. Just so you’re aware. 25 P.S. 3047

I feel it’s safe now to talk about this leopard seal that was on a Christchurch beach back in September - gorgeous isn’t he?? He was quite little though, maybe ~7 feet. And, sleepy. And contrary to popular belief, we have resident leopard seals here in NZ! 🦑🦊🧪🌎

There are two rules to PNW spider season. 1. Always have your spider stick handy 2. If you see a spider that has built a web out of the way, leave it! If you take it down, it will seek revenge on you and build a web across your porch so you get it to the face the next day.

Pretty key sentence. People have screamed “ITS ENDEMIC” at me since at least 2023, and A) it wasn’t and B) using endemic to mean “it’s fine now” is very, very stupid.

I got this tonight, one foreground and one background video. The background footage is at 30%, captured in the same minute on a tripod. The crop jumped to the right of the frame during the background footage. Fun guys! 🪶 🐦‍⬛

The free printmaking workshop was so much fun! I came away with some fantastic ideas and I really really want to sign up for her full course on how to do tesselation nature prints but there’s no way I can afford it at the moment. But here is what I made!

A small tessellated print comprised of alternating purple and green prince of a stag beetle that was carved into an eraser. Be nice I drew him free hand.
