The thing about this is that as a Paxton campaign gambit it's incredibly stupid and more likely to backfire than help...but as a play within GOP-aligned media it's surely a big success. The GOP has many problems, but a key one is that way too many party actors aren't driven by electoral incentives.

Assuming the Dems can't get to 60. But yes I think there's going to be heavy pressure on Dems to at least have a democracy agenda cutout in the filibuster.
