One thing I miss about my younger years? Random basement concerts. Just a spur-of-the-moment "hey, check out X band in this random basement". Often the most fun shows. If you have the chance, don't turn those down.

The interest rate point is an excellent one. Rates being over double than they were 3/4 years ago is killing a lot of the willingness to take risks

This I agree with, 100%. Everyone fighting for the same base. It's bound to have massive shortcomings. But when you look at the AAA studios, it is a lot of mismanagement

I keep seeing people throw out the term "Covid Correction" for the mass layoffs we continue to see in the games industry. We're beyond that. It's far beyond the mass hiring during Covid. It's mismanagement, poor trend chasing, cuts of departments to use AI (not as much but happening), etc.
