When we warned this was going to happen, over a year ago, we were accused of scaremongering. Apparently nothing like this could happen, "Because this is the US" was the most common response. The US is just another country and it can happen, and is happening as you sleepwalk into authoritarianism.

Live executions on TV is utterly barbaric yet, still, the streets remain empty. I am beginning to think that there is NOTHING that the Trump regime can do, aside from ban Tik Tok, that will fire up the American people enough for them to take to the streets in their tens of millions.

They won't be around to suffer the consequences, given most of them are pretty old now, so they simply don't care. It's future generations that will pay the price.

He has been doing exactly what he wants for almost 2 years! Look at the US right now, an illegal war, illegal tariffs, concentration camps, an armed paramilitary force, due process ignored, WH partially demolished, etc etc etc

Trump is, for once, telling the truth. He has Congress, The Senate, the Supreme Court, ICE, and many others all loyal to him. The only ones left to save American democracy are the people themselves. We are about to find out if the 'Land of the free ' really is the 'Home of the brave '.

More than likely. I admit I am very worried about the next 2 or 3 months because the results, themselves,won't be the end of this nightmare, if the Dems win. It's what comes after because Trump NEVER accepts losing and he has the forces and the backing to keep the GOP in power this time.
