Unsolicited writing advice, no. 8260: Whatever genre you write, read folklore. Folklore exists because at some point, people cared so much about a certain thing that they put it into a story, and passed it down the centuries in order to keep it alive. That deserves attention.

Heading back home again today for a whole day in the Shed before I have to start out for London again...

Not quite a rest day, but at least I’m heading home…

I think there’s an interesting correlation between scrolling and scrying -in tea leaves, crystals, ink: the search for meaning in a cloud.

And this morning the Shed is a triumphal arch, adorned with a frieze depicting sheds in postures of repose…

Today is World Day Against the Death Penalty. Let us seek to end this inhumane and immoral practice around the world, especially here in America. It is so deplorable that in the 21st century this is going on in a modern democracy.
