@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialOverall a Chicken and Waffles Oreos are a decent cookie with a weird theme. I'd almost call them good, but the lingering salt flavor in my teeth docked them a full star. That's still good enough to earn a respectable: ⭐⭐⭐/5 (I watch Crystal grab another cookie.) 🤨 Crystal: It's tasty. 😊
@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialChicken and Waffle Oreos turn out to be excellent in milk! The flavors meld just right to taste like fried chicken in southern gravy. Sadly, the milk's sweetness pushes the salty aftertaste even more to the surface.

@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialFried chicken is salty, and Oreos stick to your teeth. Combine them, and the salt lingers in your mouth long enough to make your tongue start to tingle. It is a lot of salt, too. Two cookies pack as much sodium as a serving of Bacon Grilled Cheese Flavor Lay's Potato Chips.
@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialThe golden filling actually does tastes like syrup and waffles. The brown filling tastes distinctly like fried chicken. The cookie even tastes like fried chicken skin. They really nailed the theme! ...which is the problem.

@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialOpening the package, I'm immediately hit with a faceful of artificial maple syrup smell. I was afraid that it would be all syrup, but there's two kinds of filling- a waffle one and a chicken one. I made Crystal confirm which goo was which. Her face made it very clear the brown frosting is chicken.
@mistressaspyce.bsky.socialOreo just had a promotion where they released three limited edition flavors so everyone could vote on their favorite. I wanted to try all three for #Mistresseats, but all I could find was the Chicken and Waffles Oreos.
I think we can guess which flavor DIDN'T win.
