Yeah, I've seen this scoffing, but I am skeptical that most people who say this are personally so surrounded by Tom Holland-level hotties. I suspect Jon would be considered handsome in 99.9% of social circles.
Having watched so many episodes of Katie's show, where even her mega-MAGA guests act like they're being held hostage, this story doesn't surprise me.
Of course they're making everyone pretend to be their friends and come to their stupid parties.
The more unpopular he gets, the more he's going to be drawn to Natalie Harp types: mentally unwell sycophants.
Check out my interview with Monica Venzke of Boyfriends We Deserve about Jon Ossoff's hotness.
Is it shallow to hype the sexiness of Democratic candidates? Hell no.
As Monica explains, it's a way to gut MAGA's dumb claims to be avatars of masculinity.
Yeah, I feel part of this may be that no matter how "white" you feel, you're probably one or two steps away from someone who has been abused by ICE if you're Latino and that's got to be chilling.
No, read the whole thread.
A good friend of mine from high school had Mexican-American grandparents who insisted they were "Spanish." She herself is blonde and blue-eyed. But she was cackling to me after her 23 and Me test showed significant mestizo heritage. She said she only wished her grandparents had lived to know it.
I'd be curious if this is a wake-up call, or if it's just about inflation. But the fact that a lot more Latino Trump voters are turning on him than white suggests to me that it's about more than the economy. I mean, they know that Anglos are racist to them, even if they identify as white.
A lot of Mexican-Americans (and I'm sure other groups, but this is just my direct experience) identify as white. And not just Anglo-Mexicans, which is a lot of my family. It was common for people to say they are "Spanish" or even claim Cortez as an ancestor to lay claim to white identity.
White people outside of the southwest, even those who aren't racist, still have a tendency to lump Latinos together in a way that isn't the actual way that Latino people see themselves. Sadly, I heard plenty of people who were Mexican-American use slurs against recent immigrants.
This is a big deal, because it does suggest that some folks are waking up to the fact that Trump and Miller hate everyone with a Spanish last name and that ICE is an ethnic cleansing program.
I'm from the border, so I wasn't very surprised at the Latino MAGA turn.
ICYMI, we have a good time celebrating Jon Ossoff's sexiness, his talent at sick burns and the possibility that he will roll all this rizz into being president.
This is why I recommend reading before offering corrections or filling in information you assume is not in the article. It is! Read it. It's free.
Thanks also to readers who alerted me to Cornell president Michael Kotlikoff bumping students with his car, and then claiming victim status after the fact.
The whole situation is shady, but also, proves that "free speech" is a MAGA-only right in these situations.
"Giving into the Trump administration on DEI means being able to revert to older, easier ways of doing things — even if it comes at the expense of student freedom and safety."
Why read past headlines: Receipts, bitches! Cornell's president's pandering to MAGA is pretty gross.
But also, I lay out why this isn't just about money.
University administrators want an excuse to abandon Title IX and DEI. Trump gave it to them.
The rape case is drawing attention to a previous failure by Cornell's president, Michael Kotlikoff.
Last year, he caved in a $60 million settlement to Trump, undermining DEI and free speech on campus.
His capitulation has the stench of complicity.
Humorless prigs are out.
Jon Ossoff can land a sick burn, as he showed in last night's debate.
On "Standing Room Only," I celebrate Jon's hotness, his swift wit, and why this high-T Democrat has MAGA freaking out.
Come for the thirst traps, stay for our montages of how JD Vance and Marco Rubio are mocked ruthlessly as sad sacks and weirdos on social media!
