@frederikbk.bsky.socialReposted by @nsousanis.bsky.socialI wrote an article about one of my favorite cartoonists, in which I basically invent and define a new genre of autobiography. It's Open Access so you can read it if you want.
@nsousanis.bsky.socialyeah, I'm so pleased with this! A wonderful student and this was off the charts!!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialhad I known this many people were going to see this, I would've figured out a better way to make a video of his work, but here we are... I showed him the responses today, he's geeked and set up a Social media acct, I'll post that here when all confirmed.
@nsousanis.bsky.socialthat's impressive!
@adamserwer.bsky.socialReposted by @nsousanis.bsky.socialI do not think an exec branch led by a man who thinks he is entitled to treat federal agents as an arm of his firm, refers to Somali Americans as “garbage” and has said racist things specifically about Omar is capable of neutrally applying the law to her, to put it mildly apnews.com/article/ilha...
@marcelias.bsky.socialReposted by @nsousanis.bsky.socialIf you are shocked this am that Trump’s government executed a search warrant against a Democratic Member of Congress and ignored a judge’s order then you haven’t been paying attention. Stop saying this isn’t how it works in the US. It is exactly how it works under Trump.
@nsousanis.bsky.socialI own it and I’m not totally sure! :)
@nsousanis.bsky.socialooh, sounds great - congratulations!
@nsousanis.bsky.sociala little library on your block? (I have been thinking to do that with minicomics I make, and maybe student ones if they want to be part of it...)
@nsousanis.bsky.socialGoodness, this made the rounds! As I said earlier in the thread, I get their permission in advance to share anonymously, but given overwhelming response here, I’ll see if I can share from him directly so people can see more of his work!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialIndeed :)
@nsousanis.bsky.socialhe's definitely upped the bar for all future classes! And, I do hope "flipbookery" catches on as a term - this definitely is it! Onward!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialthank you! Glad it's of use to others!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialYes! So pleased!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialSo pleased! And blown away :)
@nsousanis.bsky.socialI’m still beaming…
@nsousanis.bsky.socialcool - thank you!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialBesides these two crazy innovative ones, I had 2 "foldies", some fantastic drawing & storytelling in many of them, good command of the minicomic format, and almost to a person – a lot of effort & creative expression. Pleased all around! Glad folks appreciated these, I'll share other things as I can!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialThey are!
@nsousanis.bsky.socialThanks for sharing this! I’m not sure where he picked up the design for it, was unexpected :)
