On 14 October, I will be hosting this event at the Frontline Club in London. If you are in town, please come and join the discussion with this stellar panel of writers on Russia

Excellent poem - looking forward to being there for this dark wet Venetian weather in November
@robertshrimsley.bsky.social a possible story for you? The LSE is about to rebrand itself. It already has an immaculate, instantly recognised logo but current management think we should spend millions to screw that up. Just at a time when the public are struggling to identify reliable brands.
It's a great story. Please get onto it. The new designs are awful and the whole thing is costing a fortune. Why would you change the LSE logo? Especially at a time when people need to know your identity? It's mad. A vanity project of a failed director I guess.

Also, and this is nit-picking, did she really 'remember' Barnes and Wright playing? She was a late teen recently returned to the UK at the very end of their careers. It's not a big issue, but she does seem to have a problem with facts.
I'm sure Badenoch's speech was a triumph. But this was odd: "I remember back in the day when Ian Wright and John Barnes were playing, nobody was questioning whether they were English". I remember deep, continuous racism, 'go back to Africa' etc Eg the famous banana image. Odd to get it so wrong.
I don't have a hard position on PR, mainly because of this kind of analysis by an LSE colleague. Ive always liked the idea of proportional fairness but that might not work for everyone.
So now it's real. In a digital world it's still a visceral joy to hold your own work. Thanks to the many people who made it possible.
Difficult to get past my bias on this but today feels like the day the UK Green Party mistook rabid prejudice for a policy position. Once again they will sink back into irrelevance just when the environment needed advocacy. Well done everyone!
Then don't pass motions that attack one side. It's simple
So you are a 'I'm an anti Semite but not now' person. What an absolute racist you are.

Absolutely shocking excuse for a politician. 'My colleagues are anti semetic but we don't mean it.' Sian Berry is an awful politician and a collaborator with anti-semites.
You are a joke. Absolute sick joke. You can't say one thing and say it means another. You disgust me.
Hmmm. So the party that runs my council now thinks I'm a racist? Hello @zoegarbett.bsky.social
Prediction journalism, especially the kind that pretends it has a novel insight - has a shockingly bad record - worse than random. But the Tel is awesomely the worst. It's a festival of confirmation bias, wishful thinking and dementia-level memory failure.
I'd make a similar argument to this about 'misinformation'. Polarisation is not a both sides problem in the US or UK (though both are different)
Great article on the current conundrums around public service media policy in the UK
