I do too! I also find it much more satisfying to use, which for me is very important. I want to enjoy practicing maths. And I want "new" mathematicians to enjoy maths more. The thing that saddens me most is students that "hate" maths or have a stressful relationship with the discipline.

I used it to flag notation as being from "semel", rather than Mathican, which is designed more strictly to avoid ambiguities, which I find are the main cause of confusion for students struggling with math.

It's not that clever, it's a silly phonetic derivation of CML - "cee - em -el", which in turn stands for classical mathematical language.

Just a word of caution. The hate that made me leave the other place does exist here. I clearly made mistakes when reaching out to someone, but the hate filled ambush was not justified. It really upset me, but I need to learn from it. Thankfully most people here are tolerant, forgiving and nice.
