The key difference between Elizabeth Holmes and Elon Musk is that Holmes cost many in the ruling class a lot of money and Musk is making many in the ruling class a lot of money.
A sentient car, just like in the movies!

Trump on what his fans could do with their $5k Trump check: "Let's go to Palm Beach and enjoy the president for lunch. Let's have lunch at Mar-a-Lago, where for $5,000 you'll get one hamburger and a small dessert."
A bad update: we're getting reports of pro-No Kings creators who have been suspended today as well. And we still lack backend access to the official No Kings account. Stay tuned, will report news when I have it.
Update: without explanation, and after being suspended for more than an hour during peak mobilization time, Zuckerberg's Instagram restored the No Kings account but we still lack admin access. More to come. Rest assured we will not stop organizing against this regime and its collaborators.
❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.
Apparently at around 1:30 PM ET, the main accounts for the No Kings coalition on Instagram were frozen and pulled down. Admins have lost access to the account and are unable to log in. This happened at the peak of the organization's national day of action. Instagram, of course, is owned by Meta.
Meta took down the No Kings instagram; TikTok banned the Musk documentary account for supposedly violating its political posting policies. A reminder that platforms are owned by the wealthiest of people, control the means of media distribution, & put their thumbs on the democracy scale as they wish
"You push that new model live?" "Sure did, boss. Only an imminent risk of killing 49 people, just like you asked."
Anthropic floats a sample bill. It would allow the gov’t to block a model that has a “foreseeable, imminent risk of more than $1 billion in damages, or of killing or seriously injuring more than 50 people” www.politico.com/news/2026/10...

Great write-up by @paleofuture.bsky.social - spoiler alert! Go watch Digger now, you won't regret it (and stay until the end).

Fun fact: The grandparents of Billy Evans, Elizabeth Holmes’s partner, founded Evans Hotels in the 1950s. His family owns three resorts in San Diego: The Lodge at Torrey Pines, Bahia Resort Hotel, and Catamaran Hotel Resort and Spa.
With the 5 closed due to the fires, i just checked the drive from San Clemente to Oceanside, which takes about 20 minutes without traffic. It’s currently 3 hours and 17 minutes because you have to drive around Camp Pendleton.
Here's a livestream from CBS LA showing the Norte Fire, which is destroying homes in San Juan Capistrano and San Clemente, California:
Trump always gets exhausted and loopy in the home stretch. This was Nov. 2, 2024, just three days before that election. It was so shocking I don't think any major TV news network covered it.
The part of the election runup where every day brings videos of Trump getting up in front of some battleground audience in his dumb hat and going "frankly you're terrible people, really disgusting. A bunch of stupid people and their awful kids. [long break for laughter and applause] Ugly as shit,"

anyway, here's some photos of 50,000 people peacefully walking through downtown minneapolis in subzero temperatures
