Dwight D. Eisenhower-in my view, one of the most important Americans ever-was born OTD in 1890. Working at his Gettysburg home in 1995 got me interested in him. Being director of his presidential library (briefly, unfortunately) in 2024-25 solidified my admiration. Image: Eisenhower Pres. Library.

Trump and Musk are doing everything they can to try and force Ukraine to surrender to Putin while Musk spends over $300 million to try and buy the midterm elections to maintain total power. The American government under Republicans are on the side of evil. Vote them out.

Pretty clear that Trump/Hegseth are doing everything they can to force Ukraine to surrender to Putin by withholding all US assistance while actively helping fund the Russian war machine to kill as many civilians as possible including kids. What a dark, evil chapter in US history.

Next week’s 55-hour closure will address a problem on the eastern section of Hwy 37 from Mare Island to Sears Point. Over summer, high tides started eroding the shoreline and the embankment beneath the highway, creating perilous conditions for passing cars.

South Korea secretly shipped Russia fuel, including diesel, and then picked a diplomatic fight with Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Moscow is training North Koreans in drone manufacturing and helping them gain battlefield experience that threatens South Korea and the region.
