Sure Vice City is probably more complex than a Barbie game, but it's also incredibly more popular and people sure have been working on its code since 2002. I really cannot trust them this is anything original, even if, by some miracle, it's true XD

I mean I played a game I used to have as kid, Barbie Rapunzel, on browser and it worked perfectly, like, five years ago. And it's a 2002 game too! All in all, it doesn't look like the miracle they claim it is.

Also these games sound a bit old, like Vice City is from 2002 ffs and it's really popular franchise, I think the code has been pretty much decompiled already. To give them the best benefit of the doubt I can, the AI got lucky and wrote a nice wrapper for the game to play on browser.

What are we willing to bet that the "games remade with AI" come from an AI that was given the full game code during training and it simply spit it back out with some minor, uninfluential changes so they can say "AI did it"?

My guess is that they fed the whole code to an AI while training it, and then had it spit it out back with some minor optimisations to pretend "AI did it".

There is SO MUCH COOL STUFF you can't even imagine. One I liked it so much I bought a flashcart and an adapted because I wanted it in physical copy too. I've got WEEKS of non-stop gaming just from those I cherry picked. And this is just Pokémon. Let alone everything else no-AI.

For example, I like Pokémon. It was my first videogame, with Yellow. Although I still prefer Digimon, I like Pokémon. I however HATE what Nintendo is doing with it and how the recent games are shit. So I play the older ones I have, and got into the hack roms and indie Pokémon games environment.

Videogames exist since the '50s. We have over SEVENTY YEARS of videogames to play that surely won't feature generative AI, why should we play their newest slop, just because it's got more recent graphic (I won't say better here)
