Elon Musk is despicable. Because he is a crazy white supremacist, he killed hundreds of thousands of people in Africa by having his DOGE teens cut aid for food and medicine. And because he is a crazy authoritarian, he has now killed Ukrainians by hindering their ability to anticipate air strikes.

In 1926, Gertrude Ederle became the first woman to swim across the English Channel.

But she didn’t just make history. She beat the fastest man’s record by nearly TWO HOURS.

And she was only 20 years old. 🌊

ICE has stepped up their attacks. They are going after anyone considered an immigrant. They don't care if there were crimes committed or not. This is Trump trying to cheat on the midterms. Don't let him! Vote! Because your life or your friends and neighbors lives' may depend on it. Tell the GOP NFW!

If this was a boxing match the ref would’ve called the fight well before this. Ossoff is an excellent debater and Collins is comically terrible. Another brilliant Trump endorsement.

Sen. Ossoff: "Congress is full of congressmen's sons who are only in Congress because their daddies were congressmen, just like Mike Collins, who are perfectly happy to send other people's children to die in a war. How is this war a success, Mike?"

Ossoff: "In my view, based upon the evidence I've seen thus far, the president's misconduct, abuse of power, and corruption, already exceed any prior standard for impeachment."

OSSOFF: Here's your third chance. Did Donald Trump really win the 2020 election? You want to answer, Mike? COLLINS: He still hasn't answered about Reid Hoffman. Joe Biden was the president OSSOFF: That's not what I asked

Ossoff: "When the congressman voted for this Medicaid cuts, the largest in history, he knew that 50% of all births in our state are covered by Medicaid. He still voted for them. And as a result, a labor and delivery unit in his own district had to shut down. He also supports a total ban on abortion"

Ossoff: "I want everybody who is clipping this debate to roll that tape. You stood here right on this stage and you said 'a total ban, no exceptions, even for rape, even for incest, even to save the mother's life.' That was your position and now you are changing it."

The 1835 Treaty of New Echota gives the Cherokee Nation the right to appoint a congressional delegate. Principal Chief Chuck Hoskins Jr. decided to exercise this right in August 2019. The timing was driven by recent legal victories and the availability of a uniquely qualified candidate: Teehee. /2

Drawing depicting the signing of the Treaty of New Echota in the parlor of former Cherokee Phoenix Editor Elias Boudinot, Dec. 29, 1835. The Treaty of New Echota is one of the most consequential, tragic and legally complex documents in the history of federal-tribal relations. It served as the legal pretext for the forced removal of the Cherokee people along the Trail of Tears. It was not signed by the tribe’s elected leadership but by a small faction known as the “Treaty Party.” They believed that forced removal was inevitable and sought to negotiate the best possible terms. Article 7 provides a mechanism for political representation in Washington. The tribe maintains that the words “shall be entitled” create a binding obligation. Opponents emphasize the phrase “whenever Congress shall make provision for the same,” arguing the right requires legislation or a procedural framework before a delegate can be seated. Kimberly Teehee was born on this day in 1968 in Chicago. She is an attorney and activist who was elected by the Cherokee Nation to serve as its first Delegate-designate to the U.S. House of Representatives. Seven years after her election, the House still has not seated her. /1

Kimberly Teehee. Teehee’s entry into public service and her subsequent selection as the Cherokee Nation’s Delegate-designate were driven by profound family influences, mentorship from legendary tribal leadership and her unmatched legislative track record in Washington, D.C. Her personal and family history is intertwined with the tangible effects of federal policies, ranging from the historical forced removal era to more recent assimilation programs. These experiences gave her a lifelong perspective on the critical need for tribal advocacy. A decisive factor in her selection as tribal delegate was her established reputation for building consensus on Capitol Hill. Cherokee Principal Chief Chuck Hoskin Jr. cited her rare ability to reach across political lines to advance complex tribal issues, noting her strong relationships with key congressional leaders of both parties. Trump may well be right about being the last Republican president. Not for the reasons he’s making up, but rather because he has destroyed the party from within—and almost everyone in the party chose to allow it for their own short-term gain. They have earned their downfall.
