LOVE to hear it. I put a little extra work into this plot point, so I'm very glad it's working for you

Thank you! First big Ming/Flash fight, I wanted it to feel like a proper event
I figure Flash isn't too big on the "hello my name is Inigo Montoya"s
Oh, yeah, I could two of these every day, easy.
Oh we're definitely getting back to him, you can be assured of that
Your Saturday FLASH GORDON! ⚔️
Your Friday FLASH GORDON ⚡
Creature
To be fair most of Flash's problems can be addressed by repeated punching, but you may have a point
Sometimes peanut butter and bacon just can't combine
Your Thursday FLASH GORDON ⚡
Agreed. Byrne has more than earned his place in comics history, but he is at best the JJ Abrams to Claremont's James Cameron
"Overhead, the geese are flying south, first hint that -- although the day is warm, the leaves on the trees still green -- summer is almost over" I'm sorry CC is quite simply one of the best ever to hit the paint
He's such a genius and yet he's so chained to the wall, even after all these years. I respect his tremendous talent and mourn how much further he could have reached.
because Claremont understands that as a cultural product and a thing real-life people experience through fiction, superheroes aren't professional athletes, they're you when you get to work on time even though the bus driver tried to roll your stop
Byrne's work trends clinical, even when he's being sexy. Claremont is always human, almost embarrassingly so, and that's the key to his appeal. I'm regularly doing things that require like 30% of my strength, yet upon peeling open the safety seal on the goddamn foaming soap I'm still like, "I win"
This page gets cited as the point where John Byrne decided to stop working with Chris Claremont — apocryphally, Byrne thought Claremont's dialogue undermined Colossus' strength. I find this to be a fascinating instance of one guy approaching fiction with calipers while another shows up with tequila
Eyy! Good work attracts good eyes.
Thank you! It started as a fix for how to make that faming look interesting in the black and white version, and ended up being a vibe I really enjoyed in the color version as well. It can be hard serving both masters, so it's nice when it comes together like that.
Ironically Friday Night Lights might be the only show where every single character could be a candidate for Green Lantern. Including Vince's dad. Excluding Julie's TA.
