Seriously. Find any random episode. Listen to their reviews. Listen closely. Notice how precise their TV writing is. They absolutely mastered this form.
Like if you want to learn precision, watch them. They hit on bullet points so well.
Been binging Siskel and Ebert and it really is insane how even these quick reviews are actually kind of nuanced reviews that acknowledge the good and the bad.
Like even if I could go out, where would I go? I don’t feel the drive to go to the bookstore. It’s not like there’s secret Marvel novels. The books I saw at the comic shop cost over 100 dollars. I feel really lonely.
Ugh, I'm so restless today. I have no money to go out and do anything. Nothing is really grabbing me to watch. Nothing is grabbing me to read. IDK. I wish I had friends to talk to
The entire show is on YouTube and it’s kind of a perfect radio. And these men were so poetic as critics. They were so good at what they did. They were so kind and thoughtful and they made you feel what they felt.
If I want to I can watch Siskel and Ebert all day.
Hehe
This is such a bad redneck comedy and you can tell they’re amused by it. Writing this twice had to rule
Time to watch a giant spider invasion. I do love the reriff live events. The tone is always how happy they are to come back to these movies. They’re so sweet.
The use of the white bronco chase in Ted is gold.
A real loss Radio Shack went under because in the age of Matchbox: The Movie we deserve a Tandy Computer Whiz Kids movie.
Watching anime with Lola to bond
This thread rules. It’s a good lesson. What business do we have being vain if Nicolas Cage is a nice guy?
I like being a dad
The writing on this show was hit and miss but when this show was great it was great. Genuinely satisfying stuff. I’m really kind of bouncing art to art today.
He literally covered EVERY story
Watching the David Suchet Poirot series. Suchet is truly on the same level as Christopher Reeve.
I need to stress this isn’t the threesome and actually dreadful. The acting alone justifies it. Both leads are atomic and I’m glad both are thriving. But it has unfair weight as practically the only original film of its kind right now. It shouldn’t have to be better than 3/5.
Watching this movie made me understand what horror fans felt in 2005-2008 during the renaissance of Asian horror remakes and Eli Roth clones. Like “god is this mid film the best I can get in my genre?” I’m actually kind of down right now
