Uh oh, did someone’s website and personal account experience a big drop in activity after Ukraine hit a Russian data center?

Will we ever see an article about Maud Gonne that doesn’t mention that irritating problem she had?

This poem is better known than the others I have mentioned as it was included in Soundings, the Leaving Cert poetry textbook assembled and edited by another Seanad member, Gus Martin. Here, Yeats describes himself "a sixty-year-old smiling public man" being shown around a school where he sees a schoolgirl who is the absolute spitting image of Maud Gonne, a woman who had a very interesting life in her own right but good luck if you can ever find an article about her which doesn't mention her Yeats infection.

“Maud, darling, I wrote a poem about you”.

He wishes his Beloved were Dead
BY WILLIAM BUTLER YEATS

Were you but lying cold and dead,
And lights were paling out of the West,
You would come hither, and bend your head,
And I would lay my head on your breast;
And you would murmur tender words,
Forgiving me, because you were dead:
Nor would you rise and hasten away,
Though you have the will of wild birds,
But know your hair was bound and wound
About the stars and moon and sun:
O would, beloved, that you lay
Under the dock-leaves in the ground,
While lights were paling one by one.
