The quote from the producer’s commentary I’ll never forget is "You think Bava would condone that shot? Never in a million years!"

Have you ever watched the House of Exorcism recut?

I used to think "Sally's Song" was the weak link in the song-score. It feels tossed-off, an afterthought. Like it was an obligation. "Oh, I guess we need to write a song for Sally." But O'Hara invests it with so much emotion.

I was on a one-disc-at-a-time plan, so it would have been a pain to have a long intermission between the two parts.

That’s one I got on DVD from Netflix and was relieved both discs were in the same envelope.

Fun fact: Those were original lyrics for Foreigner’s “I Want to Know What Love Is” before they decided that didn’t scan.

Lovely look.

Sometimes a sword is just a sword.

Not phallic at all.

I've watched Schrader's cut. Not great, but there's a reason I called it "the Zack Snyder's 'Justice League' of its day."

You should start a tontine.

Listening to THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS soundtrack for the first time since Catherine O'Hara's passing in January, and I never thought I'd tear up during "Kidnap the Sandy Claus," yet here we are.

The deadly lure of IP. Has any Exorcist movie performed that well since the original?

Believer was so abysmal, the other two parts of Green’s planned trilogy were canceled, which was definitely for the best.

Such a cool customer.

A stunning film all around.
