Worth remembering this next time you ‘feel for the players’

Love the FPL, love the Arsenal. 5 x top 1.5k finishes and they were all luck.
‘And while we’re at it, on an unrelated note, we should probably just stop looking into *gestures* this sort of thing altogether’
The narrative that City haven’t done anything wrong because the rules shouldn’t be in place anyway because it’s ’anti-competitive’
The extent to which 'why can't an owner just invest what they want in their business?' completely ignores the Sheffield Wednesday, Bury, Southend United (and so on) of it all is so infuriating. Leaving it up to owners leaves entire communities on the precipice of no longer having a football club.
Stretch it to 24/25 and they spent 2 billion more than us. And you still have arseholes whining about a red cartel.
Excuse me
I’m not suggesting he moves back there forever it’s just to protect Calafiori here
Lewis-Skelly
Both full backs, Bruno G, Eze, Gyokeres I think
Not as a matter of course, but I’d probably look into it somewhat if the company were answering 115 charges of financial fraud or similar. Unless of course they paid me enough that it just didn’t matter and I knew I could get another job elsewhere if it went south 🤷♂️
If you think City have been just like every other champions league team since the evidence was leaked and the charges were brought then fair play. Every one of them knew what they were potentially getting into.
Wages too.
This would hold at least some weight if they merely cheated to achieve parity and didn’t spend literal billions more than the ‘legacy’ sides. It makes me sick that they’re being portrayed as martyrs for a noble cause. They voted many times to pull the ladder up.
They knowingly joined a team charged with 115 breaches of premier league rules. Not to say there aren’t players at liv or ars that wouldn’t have done the same, but, well, they didn’t 😅
It’ll turn out David Kogan went to an Arsenal game in 1988 or something and they’ll be frothing
I used to think understat was shite but I remember seeing some analysis that suggested it was actually pretty good in regression analysis.
Well yes of course they have plenty of quality. That’s kind of the point isn’t it?
Trust that they’ll find a way to wriggle out of it. I don’t think there’s any way a rational, informed human being can believe they’re actually innocent given what’s out there.
Man City have spent *2 billion* more than Arsenal since the takeover, and there is pretty clear evidence of them conspiring to funnel money into the club to circumvent the rules that everyone else signed up to and follows. Genuinely, how is that ‘not doing anything worse’?
Could have gone by the letter, never does in practice. Webb would have been on TV saying it didn’t meet the threshold and ‘the game doesn’t expect a red card here’
