Whereas my 17-yo was like, damn, we just missed Weezer

That’s a dealbreaker, ladies

later this week, I am going to a 30th anniversary show for an album I bought in college

40 years from now you'll be Kenneth

something a little sobering about realizing that if you were Liz the first time you watched 30 Rock, you are now Jack

if I were a braver man I'd admit that's mostly how I watched them.

I wrote about why 30 Rock will never die.

before Trump all news was like this all the time

I think this is one of those things like “kill your darlings” that writers just evolve on their own (I have used “I won’t know what I think until I write about it” to fend off people asking for reactions to movies the second you walk out the door)

we desperately need to re-normalize not being a garbage person

This is like the ultimate payoff for orange cat behavior, it's like an MLB scout coming to your high school game

just have to lean into the cliché that when people ask me what they should see right now my answer is "you should really check out this 11-hour Russian documentary"

I believe that human empathy and attention to craft can allow artists to look beyond the bounds of self, but if ever there is a story that should have been retold By a Woman, it's Carrie

I think that’s absolutely why people should watch it, but I don’t begrudge anyone stepping out for a quiet panic attack

You either die or live long enough to become a b-story

"You hate Russian documentaries? You *fear* Russian documentaries."

I am as god made me
