I'm just on the ray. Path tracing was too performance heavy 🙃

It's not that I can't do it. I guess I just don't see the point. There are so many talented people now that do the same thing, and better. Since I don't have much social media anymore, nobody even really sees my work. So if anything it just makes me sad, lol. But that's ok. More time to play :)

The irony of this being my last post. Turns out I can stop. I applied for a few job opportunities but there's too many talented people out there. I also don't really have a social media presence. Seeing DLSS5 in screenshots has not helped my love for the art form, either. Alas, 15 years. Good run.

I don't know of any games that are bad without mods but good with mods. In my experience, good games are made better by mods. But mods can't make a bad game good.

I'm unfamiliar with "CAA tournaments" so that's probably why I didn't fully grasp what you meant 😩

I think it's just too hard to police that. It's difficult to tell how much editing has been done to a picture. Unless there's obvious effects painted in, most editing is hard to detect. A lot of contests are managed by people that wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

If a friend of mine unironically mentions an asmongold take, they are my friend anymore.
