Drivetime is really really sad today ... cannot help but reflect on how vulnerable children are to violence, abuse and neglect. I think we all need to be advocates for all children because they really really need us to be #SpéirGorm
Caroline Roche talking about her daughter and "The Before We Die" campaign, it's really so shameful that the State has completely abandoned all these people #SpéirGorm
Must have a look!
I hope you are finding some comfort from somewhere Izzy 💛
Orla Pooles voice on the radio on Drivetime has me in tears. So rare that we hear of justice in this space. Cannot begin to imagine the mixture of emotions the survivors/victims of George Gibney's are feeling right now. #SpéirGorm
Lol I suppose for that comp it's both!
Omg I must tell Niamh about this 😂 I wish I had that type of brain!
Oh yes that's it I couldn't think brain fog! Ya they are so nice like giant daisies!
They really do Kate, like when I left they looked so perfect & now they look so sad! They brought me a lot of joy the last two weeks though every time I came home, had them in my hall. I don't know what this flower is called but they seem to last ages.
Aww RIP my flowers.
Life is funny, I had been thinking a lot of a friend of mine the last few days, had said to myself this morning that I'd ring her this eve, I went out to the shopping centre today to get a few bits & bumped into her, we ended up going for coffee & chatted for 2hrs was so nice! 🙂
Not sure if girl boss is actually really the term I was looking for here but what I meant to say was she is very smart & strong in many ways, if she wants to build something she is not gonna wait for someone else to build it for her!
My niece absolutely loves Lego, she has made some really difficult pieces, she just turned 16 & she put a really complicated piece of flat pack furniture together for my parents today. I'm convinced it's all the Lego that has given her this skill. Kind of in awe of her, she is a bit of a girl boss💪🏻🛠️
It's unbelievable what's happening Joe!
Statement by the President of the International Criminal Court, Tomoko Akane, regarding sanctions imposed by the United States.
This Judge embodies dignity and determination.
Just heard a poem called "Elder Speak" by Rita Ann Higgins on radio 1 it's brilliant. It was one thing (among others) that always drove me mad working in healthcare, how some ppl spoke to older adults in this infantile tone. It made me laugh how she talked about people's voices going up an octive.
This is so worth listening to. Niall Breslin is telling the story of our Irish history with such empathy & talking about current issues, he is right that we are nowhere near where we need to be with mental healthcare #SpéirGorm
Listening to Niall Breslin on Brendan O'Connor on radio 1, he is really doing great work bringing to light the history of how people with mental health problems were treated. There is still so much wrong with current day mental health systems & the mental health system in Ireland #SpéirGorm
It really is Enda! This is like something an authoritarian regime would do.
It does, I think it must feel like a v scary place to live these days.
