Autumnal witch hazel leaf

A witch hazel leaf has fallen off a tree onto a suburban trail. The leaf is broad, oval, with a wavy margin. The veination is strong, with the yellow running along the veins and rimming the edges. Bright red coloration runs between the yellow veins, and fades out into the yellow rimming. The leaf rests on pebble strewn soil, with dappled sunlight playing on the ground and the leaf.
