Writing update! I wrote 730 words in AnimalsWIP! 🎉 It should make up for the lack of words I got during the week as I was so busy. I also very wrote a very personal scene about the importance of rest 🫂

It's getting real. CARON AND THE HUNTRESS will be available April 2026, barring complications

Book cover and tropes for Caron and the Huntress. Cover image in the center shows in the foreground, a young dark-haired boy in dark clothes and a blond woman in white shirt and jeans looking over her shoulder. In the background is a woman in an open black robe with a white button up blouse striding forward out of a portal, raising magic from her hands. Around the book cover are arrows pointing to phrases: witch fantasy, mother and son on the run, hunter with a heart, portal magic, hidden magical society, book 1 of 2, mix of cosy and urban fantasy, for fans of Shadowhunters and A Discovery of WitchesBook description: After Jace’s magic erupts during a fight at school, he and his mother Caron board a bus to run as far away as possible, her dead boyfriend’s words ring in her ears: trust no one. Caron’s magic to cover their tracks draws the attention of Ilunla, which was set up to protect witches after the Salem Witch Trials. Luce and her team find Caron and Jace in Maine. But convincing them to move to a place they’ve never heard of will challenge everything she thought she knew.

The Lockwoods is written entirely without Generative AI, and always will be. Every arc is my own creation. Originally it did start as SimsLit, but then gained a life of its own, leading us to what it's become now - the stories of the multiverse of Marren Vale (and Taliesin).

If you've ever seen my writing updates it's usually just a couple hundred words (100-300 most often) but I post those both as accountability and as trying to celebrate the small wins. It also really helps to have community support or a body double for writing sprints as short as 10 mins.
